AMI Electronics (AMIE) is an OEM manufacturer of standard and custom DC to DC converter components for high voltage low power applications. A division of Artificial Muscle, Inc., AMIE has provided high voltage products to a broad spectrum of aerospace, automotive, medical, consumer electronics, and other Fortune 500 companies and international academic and research institutions since 2004.
AMI Electronics' corporate heritage traces back to a number of DARPA projects in the early 1990's. As well-funded research projects evolved into value-conscious commerical programs, AMIE filled a need for reliable, cost-effective high-voltage low-power DC to DC converters for applications from electroactive polymer artificial muscle (EPAM), to piezo devices to medical imaging and instrumention and much more.
Introducing the ThunderTM Family of DC to DC Converters
AMIE's Thunder family of low power, high voltage DC to DC converters sets a new standard for features and value. It offers proportional, regulated, isolated high-voltage low-power output, encapsulated in high thermal conductivity epoxy resin for use in harsh environmental environments. These single output devices are available in a variety of input and output voltages ranging from 5,12, or 24VDC inputs up to 5000VDC outputs at 1.5W.
